What scratchamp settings do you use and what computer do you have?

    Mine:
    96 KHz
    cpu latency medium
    latency 12.0 ms

1.6 ghz centrino with 512mb ram

PS: is 96KHz overkill for playing mp3's? I have studio monitors

The answer is yes if your music is recorded [sampled] at 96Khz.

The answer is no if you are using MP3s (or other file formats] which are at 44.1Khz, as there is nothing to be gained by increasing the sample rate . The only effect is the processor as to do more work as it needs to do the conversion from 44.1K to 96K. You will find you can lower your latency if you use the source sample rate of your material i.e 44100Hz.

I am using 44.1KHz (Same as CDs, MP3s)

    Hope this helps :)

is it the higher the sample rate the slower the response or the higher the latency. when i say response i mean the vinyl reaction time when i scratch.
whats an ideal sample rate and latency for a dj that likes on time scratches but stills wants good quality sound?
