Screen too small can't reach corners to resize

I recently had to change monitors because mine quit working. I had to change to small 15' Inch screen. There's nothing I can do about it, it's all I got.

This is really frustrating! Even when I reset size it keeps setting the corners below the size of my screen so I can't reach the bottom right to resize it. It's even worse in my DAW. The bottom is fine but the top is for some reason outside of the screen so I can't reach the X to close it out and I'm stuck with it open. I don't know what to do! I can't even use it, it's pretty much useless like this. Please help if anyone can.

If the Kontakt interface doesn't fit on the screen there may not be much you can do (I assume your screen doesn't support a finer-grained resolution?)

You can usually command-W or control-W to close the window, though.

Go to Kontakt's Options, and you can reset the interface size in one of the tabs there.

If you're running on Windows ...
Can you see even a small sliver of the top border of the window?
If so, right-click on it and select Size from the popup menu.
The use the arrow keys to adjust the window size.

This^^. The only way to manually resize the Kontakt window is to click and drag the triangle in the bottom right corner. However, it's common for the window become larger than your screen's native resolution. In this case, you need to go into options-->Interface and click on "Reset Size", which will reset the Kontakt window to the smallest size possible. For me, it reduces down to 924p x 698p (w/ browser) or 680p x 698p (without browser).

On my Mac the reset does not have an option for any size. It just shrinks to a smaller size. I am on a large monitor but I am certain the smaller size would fit on a 15" screen. Pulling screen captures into image editor they are 900x600 and 665x665 pixels FWIW.

This might help. It's simple and it's worth a try:
    Resize Enable

Here's an example of exactly what's happening inside of Renoise:
Do you see how the X is above the screen? I can't move it at all.
Thanks for all the help though. When I resize it's defaults to that size and that position on the screen.

    Try going to registry.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments\Kontakt 4 (or 5, whichever version you're using), then modify the values of two last keys:

    windowPos_X
    windowPos_Y

Kontakt 5 too big for screen

I have a similar problem - Kontakt goes down offscreen at the bottom - can't access the keyboard. 15" screen.

I have tried window resize software, and I can now resize the Kontakt window but it doesn't scroll so I still can't get to the keyboard or otherwise shrink the view. I am on maximum resolution. Have tried the screen size reset in Options but nothing much happens.

What is needed is a scroll bar for the whole window. There is one in the plugin, why not in the standalone - this is a major flaw! Every other piece of software in the world has a scroll bar.

    Any solutions would be welcome.

What's that maximum resolution you speak of?

I'm here on 1366x768 laptop (15"), and when I go to "Reset Size" in Kontakt's Options, the interface is perfectly visible and scrollable, even with virtual keyboard and info line enabled.

? Or have a look at these keys (those are my current values, on a 1680 x 1050 monitor):
    totalGUIHeight=dword:000002f7
    totalGUIHeight-plugin=dword:0000038f
    totalGUIWidth=dword:0000038c
    totalGUIWidth-plugin=dword:000003ad

Kontakt 5 too big for screen

Hi you guys and thanks for your rapid responses.

Worked out that if I close e.g. the output screen, and then resize, then the Kontakt window will reset to a smaller size.

But it would be great if a Kontakt window scroll bar could be built it, to avoid having to do that.

Would also be great if the user could reorder the order of the panels, e.g. to have keyboard on top, and then save different layouts which could be called up.

Hey, this may seem like a strange thing to do, but it worked for me, and I had room to spare:
I have a widescreen laptop and recently loaded Kontakt 5 and had the same (unbelievable) problems, and none of the other fixes mentioned here worked for me, so I oriented the display for Portrait and stood the laptop on edge and used a trackball (which I prefer anyway) and USB keyboard. On my desktops, this is not necessary, because I don't have widescreen with them.
Don't know why a company that's normally in their right mind would make a program nowadays that would only show its whole face on older, more square screens. Also don't know why they would not make it so you could move the sections or even resize them! I mean, those last 2 abilities were standard on stuff I was using with Windows 98!!
Maybe it would be okay for a dual-screen setup where the 2 are "stacked", but even then the division would have to be perfect.
Anyway, I can now use this otherwise fantastic program with all features attached and visible.
Hope this helps, even if it is maybe a last resort response to something that shouldn't have been necessary in the first place.

    Resize

If you're talking about Kontakt (I do have K5 und encountered the same probelm, namely I could not see the whole array of effects like reverb, etc), then go into Options-Interface-Reset Size. In my case I right clicked on Reset Size and it fixed itself instantly. I hope we talk about the same thing, and that I could be of help

Please help! I tried everything from all support threads about this matter. Nobody have solution for this.
I posted picture about my problem. Kontakt 5 VST inside Cubase 5 VST instrument is out of monitor frame. If I opened it standalone its ok. If I open Kontakt 5 8out and Kontakt 5 16out it's ok, but only Kotakt 5 "alone" is out of monitor frame.
If you have any suggestions, please post.
    Thank you all in advance.

Well that's weird... Since there's nothing stored in the registry about plugin position on the screen (because you can have more than one instance of a particular plugin loaded in a project), I'd chalk this up to Cubase perhaps... there's no reason why 8/16-out versions would work fine and the others not.

When I change registry keys of the window position nothing happens with Kontakt 5 vst window in Cubase, only standalone kontakt 5 window moves.
p.s. - I tried this first from all suggestions, because it was only that possible in my case.
