    hi to all ,
    if I understood Mike Sachs post in the "re: Kontakt 2 update plan [was: K2 update after NAMM!!!!] thread , It is possible to make a script that solves the All notes off problem ?
    All I am trying to get out of Kontakt is a single drum kit of 50 megs running in logic with a latency no bigger than 128 , no other instruments in logic ;
    All it does is crackle up if i play a busy ride pattern (no filtering or disk streaming , short releases , anything i can think of to help cpu wise.)
    Is this a symptom of the All notes off problem ?
    Can my modest demand out of Kontakt 2 be solved with a simple script ?
    the reason i am using Kontakt at all is because it can do program changes , so i can load a few drum kits in.
    Cheers , al.

    Hi Al,
    I think he might have been referring to the first bug in the The ultimate Kontakt 2.0.2 bug list thread. I don't think that's the problem you're experiencing.

    Your problem could have to do with the bug that makes notes that are longer than their corresponding sample waveform stay forever in the note event queue (or until one manually forces an engine restart). The only way to fix that with a script I think would be to force note-offs to make sure no note are longer than its sample. But then one must know how long samples are and that's not possible to determine from scripts (maybe it would be possible with Beat Machine slices though).

    Best,
    Nils
