One great feature in Serato is the ability to use Midi Knob(s) to auto scroll through the playlist with varying speeds depending upon how fast you move the knob. Is this feature available in traktor?

I have a knob set up to scroll through playlists, then a modifier button which makes it scroll faster, skips down every 5 songs with one click of the knob. It's set up using the encoder sensitivity I think, I don't have Traktor in front of me right now but I think that's the parameter name.

Have you tried turning up the rotary acceleration?

It doesnt really have anything to do with the sensitivity. If you have ever used serato with a midi interface when you turn the the knob slowly to the end, it will auto scroll the playlist until you ease off the knob. The faster or slower you turn the knob full circle determines the speed of the auto playlist scroll...

Within this video will show you what I mean its 6:30 into the video.

I can do this with the DN MC 6000 and you can change between headings/sub headings and tracks. If you have a midi i am sure you could create a map for this

I am more or less interested in the auto-scrolling of the playlist. I am not really concerned about headings or subheadings.

Ahhh, I just watched the video, I see now. Yes that is a handy function. I dont believe the Denon can do that. Interesting and very useful though...

I don't think it has anything to do with the controller. I think that's handled by the software.

*sigh* I guess this is not possible, and no one else is interested in this.

I see what you mean now, I don't think it is possible but I will try and see if I can figure out a way to do it later on tonight when I get back home

Just FYI i have posted a "future suggestion" for software upgrade in the approp forum here. This is a good idea and youre right, it is (or would/should be) a software feature, I did not mean to say it is a hardware thing.
