SD crashes while opening

When i try to open SD stand-alone it crashes almost immediately. The crash log shows this

Im on a G4 PB running OS 10.2.8

 

Hi! you can try to take the Spectral Delay P.list file out of your Preferences folder In User/Library/Preferences Path and than restart the program one more time .It will create a new P.list file automatically,so the old one you can put in Trash and it should work now.This is happening every time whenn you change a Path of your Audio folder in the program [ using of new samples.. }and it seems to me like kind of Bug.Good luck!

 

The suggestion to both crashing threads is good, I actually came here to see if anybody figured out what causes this. My audio folder doesn't change. The only thing that seems to be in common with this corrupting? of the preference file is running a 'cocktail', (permissions repair, clearing caches, and updating binding). Love to hear a theory as it seems like a definite bug that should be addressed.

 

From my point of wiew it is a clear bug & I hope that is already adressed as it is quite an old Bug member between the others around us.Can somebody confirm adressing of this bug to N.I. ?

No, I myself never filed a report, I had found the fix here and assumed NI was aware of this and would address it in a normal maintenance release (silly me). Surely they have seen the many posts?

 

Well, the point is that we have no idea about their point of wiew...but although we are tapping in the dark with that matter it is important to continue to share our experiencies.
