I would be nice if Guitar Rig had a seamless patch change component. This could be done by placing the 'patch change' component into a preset, a container, or into the Master FX. The component would only be activated when you change patches. It would fade the current preset into the background when loading a new preset. It would also be nice to have have controls to adjust the length of decay and volume of the current patch as it fades away, and, also, for the new patch as it's activated. The default volume option for the current preset as it fades away would be a gentle drop-off in sound; the new patch volume would be the same as your current preset. But, to give more control over the blending of volumes for different situations, you could have a graphic display similar to the LFO component. It would be an X shape, one line for each of the two presets, just use the mouse to 'grab' a line to adjust the volume curve of each preset. You could have a gentle curve followed by a sharp drop-off in sound, or, you could have a gentle fade for each preset as they blend, the options are endless! Also, what if you could add an FX to the current preset as it fades out, like a reverb or a ping-pong echo, again the FX(s) would be activated by the patch change :)
