This thread is really a repeat of my reply to Luc in the thread "Second Installation"?

I'm sorry to repeat, but this is probably a separate issue.

Bandstand 1.03 has installed on my Intel MacBook and works fine as a plug-in with Digital Performer: but it will not open as a standalone! It keeps saying the "application has unexpectedly quit" after showing the startup dialogue. It works fine on my G5 iMac.

I've done all the usual: reboot, repair permissions.

Any ideas? Can I re-install? And if so, should I de-install first?

    :-(

I don't seem to be very lucky with Bandstand.

    Hello Karl!

I have exactly the same problem on my Intel MacBook.
Bandstand works fine as plug-in with Logic Pro. It will not open as standalone. Everything works fine on my iMac Intel.

Bandstand worked fine as a standalone also on my MacBook at first (last summer), but maybe about one month ago I noticed it didn't work anymore as a standalone.

Maybe some system updates conflict with Bandstand or something like that? I cannot really figure out this thing.

It's sad thing because I would like to use Bandstand as a standalone with Band In the Box 12 and play some play along stuff with my guitar students. Now I can't use it anymore.

I haven't got any ideas (sorry), but hope somebody knows more. I just wanted to say, that I have exactly the same problem : (

    Hi again!

This helped for me – now the application is running also standalone again!

I moved the user preference file to the desktop.

(Folders: Users - Library - preferences
    User preference file is named:
    com.native-instruments.Bandstand.plist)

After that I started Bandstand and it's working fine as standalone again.

Yep! That worked for me too! :)

Thank you very much, Jarmo. Maybe at last I can get down to doing some serious work with Bandstand.

Looks like you have a similar set-up to me. I'm thinking of adding Logic to my suite soon, so I'm glad to hear Bandstand works as a plug-in there too.

A happy new year to you.
