Native Instruments is a featured partner at Apple's event tomorrow, which is rumored to unveil an iPad Pro w/USB.

Hey look how cool Traktor Pro 3 for iPad is... and connect it to the new Kontrol S2 MK3!

One can dream...

 

They did briefly show a controller in the iPad video... But it was a Reloop

 

Great so we have to buy newer iPads for the software to work with the S2 MK3s? That's not cool if that is their plan. I bought the S2 MK3 for the current iPad/TDJ app...I think I'm going to return it and buy a used S2 MK2. I thought I was upgrading from my MK1!

 

While a new version of Traktor DJ hasn't been announced yet, I'd be surprised if any new solution would be restricted to the newest iPads. That said, it is a terrible shame that the current app doesn't support the MK3s.

 

I hope it's not restricted to new devices either. The Z2 is easily one of the dopest and most accessible pro mixers for the price and as I've mentioned in countless posts before this, it would be incredible if it could be properly used with an iPad. (USB-B -> USB-C?)

Even doper if USB-C finally meant we could do proper DVS on an iPad.

 

Any news ? Could you test the new S2mk3 with TDJ ? I assume it does not work, right ??

Btw, i feel same you, would be a pity if NI forgot the TDJ user with their new mk3. And it would be a shame if a future TDJ version would not support. I am afraid most regarding the S4 .. my old S4mk2 works perfect with TDJ .. i have a lot of doubts that the new mk3 (including inbuild display support) can be used with TDJ at all In future

Did anybody buy new S4mk3 already and can let us know .. does it still work with current TDJ ??

 

I have a like new S2mk2 for sale if anyone is interested.
