I am trying to experiment with the different sequencers in Reaktor3 and cannot quite see the difference and the purpose
of the "Select 16" module? What is the advantage of using this over the regular 16? I read it over in the manual but obvioulsly nothing made impact..

The normal sequences respond to a clock in (actually any time a signal crosses zero) and cycles through each step in sequence (1 then 2 then 3 etc).

The select 16 is different. It allows you to pick steps "out of order" so instead of just incrementing through steps you can jump around.

I think I have a demo of this somewhere...that uses both... I will try to find it and upload it to my web site (www2.charlielamm.com/reaktor)

Go to www2.charlielamm.com/reaktor, the download section, events area, and get stepvselect.ens.

Using the control + H tool, look at the values of the output of each sequencer. One is controlled by a clock and one by a random # generator. The output will show you the difference between the 2.

BTW I just went to a new server so if you have trouble w/ downloads let me know (the PHP code may not be as portable as I would like).
