I just purchased the Maschine Jam but haven't registered it yet. Since I already have a Maschine Mikro and the software on my computer, I am thinking of selling my Maschine Mikro hardware and giving the buyer the Maschine Jam registration so that they can download the software. I am thinking this might be a cleaner way to sell the Mikro as opposed trying to transfer the original software license. Does anyone know if that will work?

It's the same software so you can do it that way.

i think one copy of the Maschine software is tied to the Jam hardware. i would ask NI about it. that's what i did & they were clear about which version of the software was tied to the Jam, and which was tied to my MK1

I would keep maschine mikro and Jam to work together, unless you are thinking of buying a new controller ??

both devices are great separately but the jam unlocks so much potential in the mikro, MKii and studio... why don't you use them together? i don't feel NI wanted you to choose one or the other. with the new update, Jam and Maschine together make a force to be reckoned with

I would also not sell it only if I really need the money

The Jams great but it feels like a controller rather than an instrument. Sure its got some clever workarounds to get past velocity but theres just some stuff you need the pads for...also having even one screen is better than none.

I was told the Jam software is tied to the controller though theyd only know that if you registered it...Doesnt it also come with two expansions?

Like has been said of course sell it if you need the $$$ but its not quite the same as maschine, even a mikro, you could even just sell the software...plenty folks interest in that.

I would deffo keep both tho as there are certain things you cannot do just by having Jam and also having the velocity sensitive pads on your mikro helps, even tho u can now program them using maschine jam it's just not the same... Especially when using note repeat !!
