    Hey.

I sold my TSP, but seeing how the program is activated trough a serial key linked to ones account i wondered if there was anyway i could move my serial key over to another persons NI account.

Or would the person buying my TSP need to take over my account?

you have to send a fax to NI support in order to release your activation o the person you sold your TSP to. He'll (or she) be able to create his own profile with a new activation

All you have to do is email the support team and tell them you sold Traktor and needs to de-activated from your account.

That's what I did with Traktor LE.

May I ask why you sold TSP? You switching over to Serato?

    Email from NI Support Team:

    Hello XXXXXX XXXXXX,

What a hassle. I was hoping to buy Traktor Scratch from this guy used, and we've been pulling our hair out for the last hour trying to de-register his copy. Now we have to submit a written request and wait for a reply. This shouldn't have taken more than ten minutes, not a matter of days.

It takes time to do a Transfer of Ownership because NI have to check that the seller is the genuine owner of the product.

It's quite possible for someone to try transfer if they obtain a login or serial number by fraudulant means.

NI make sure that the Transfer request is legitimate. Which I why it isn't possible to deregister a product yourself. It's a security process.

These things should not be rushed.

A Transfer of Ownership form can be faxed to NI to speed to process up.

Also you should be aware that ONLY the seller can transfer ownership.
NI are legally not allowed to transfer ownership without consent of the seller or previous owner.
