Selling unneeded licenses?

Hi all

I currently have Komplete 10, and contemplating upgrading to Komplete 13. Since upgrading to Komplete 10, I picked up a few extras including Crush Pack, Mod Pack, and Kinetic Metal. Since I would get these plug-ins when I upgrade to Komplete 13, am I allowed to sell the licenses for these plugs? How does this work, if so?

And while on the subject, I originally had Komplete 8, then upgraded to Komplete 10. Once I have Komplete 13, can I sell the old licenses for K8 and K10? I would think that since I would get the upgrade price and not pay the full price, I would not be able to do this.

K8 is the base to upgrade to K10 and 13. If you sell the license for K8 you don't own K8 anymore and all upgrades are impossible.

 

So if I upgrade to K13 first, doesn't that become the base for future upgrades?

 

You got a linxense with K8. That's your base. K10 is an upgrade.
If you upgrade to K13 - it's your actual upgrade based on the license of K8.
You can't sell K8 or K10 they all based on the same license or you lost yours.

If they are not based on KK8 or KK10 and are different numbers to your basic product IMO you can sell them.

 

Better to check. but I think you may sell Komplete 10 Update (it has been called Crossgrade that time, I think). Quite for sure, before you buy Komplete 13 Update. And almost sure even after you buy K13U.

Komplete 10 would be a base product for K13U. But better to check with NI Support beforehand.

You may sell the other standalone plugins, for sure.
