Sending Midi Data From Maschine To Your Daw (protools)

Can anybody explain how i can set NI Maschine up as a plug in With Pro Tools, Load sounds on Maschine 16 pads etc.... Arm tracks on my PT 8 DAW.....From
there record my midi data on individual track......inside Pro Tools....for example
kick, snare, hihat on sound slot 1-3 on Maschine, will record midi info on tracks 1-3 on Pro tools ..........I know how to use the program change/ scene option .....It's great for live performance .....I followed the the step giving from the manual addendum section 4.2 SOUND to midi BATCH Setup!......etc I selected Sound to Midi Notes Midi Channel option.....Also in Protools under setup-MIDI.....Have MAshine Controller Enable.......However no midi data is making it to protools....

NI Tech Support dept phones have to be ringing ALL DAY! lol Due to the Bad owners manual that come with the Maschine.

My main purpose of buying Maschine was to get rid of my MPC and MV8000. Set this Maschine up Via midi with Protools . Assign Drums and samples to the 16 sound slots and groups .......like for example with a Korg Triton, Fantom, or a Motif all 3 of these unit have it's own sequencer, but you can set it in Performance mode to use with another Sequencer......I shouldn't arrange my entire song inside Maschine.....Then load it inside Protools as a plugin, record the entire song as audio/ or export it out by loop range, Drag in drop feature is good if you don't mind have your entire pattern 1 stereo file.......that cool for vocal performance track....But if The Engineer wants to add a effect on your snare......He Can't Because everything is 1 file..... IF ANYBODY CAN HELP ME .......CONTACT ME A.S.A.P or Caught my Maschine on Ebay........So far the only thing maschine have that's unique the live swing knob.........

 

sorry, but you need to read the 1.1 Update Manual.... you have updated to 1.1 haven't you?

with 1.1, you can Drag 'n' Drop Audio from single Patterns, any combination of Patterns from a single Group.

Drag 'n' Drop Audio from single Patterns As a Stereo wave file....Not With Each Part From your Maschine sound slots on individual tracks........I know you can Export loop range for each Pattern etc.....However when Record i like to do midi editing ........once my song done......Bounce all my midi info into audio ......NI need to create a Feature Like Propellard head (REWIRE)......

it should have been installed when you updated to 1.1.

Please be aware that the drag and drop audio feature works perfectly for what you want to accomplish.

Simply SOLO any sounds you want in a pattern and then drag the audio file to a new track in your DAW. Want just the kick, solo and drag. Want just the snare, solo and drag.

This is also remarkably easier than Rewire has ever been imo

 

It's in the 1.1 manual update section 4.2 I have followed each step However no communication between my Maschine & DAW at all.... I email NI Tech Support today maybe someone will help........lol I ask them to have there support team to set up a you tube page for each advance midi feature. . NI need to step up revise there manual. I type this on my iPhone maybe type/grammer error. If you guys figure it out how to set up midi to daw contact me ........ Later Phrozen!

 

fwiw, i have never succeeded in sending MIDI from Maschine to Pro Tools.

i have got it to work with Ableton Live but not Pro Tools. i think this is a problem with Pro Tools, maybe it is because i have an LE version?

+1 this si how i found it best rather then fiddling with midi,

mpc guys take forever to record into daw, while maschien takes a fraction of a second, i wish more users utilized this it would save so much hassle.

 

I want you to make a pattern inside maschine 1st then drag the sounds to individual tracks.......It place every sound on bar 1.. I doesn't line your pattern up eaxactly the way you recorded it inside maschine, 2nd I know how to export loop ranges inside maschine.........However with midi notes you have much more editing options . Also let's say if your friend plays a nice gutiar solo, if your drums are in a midi format you can invert a snare for example Waves are good if your not going to change anything.

The new update is coming soon and it will allow you to drag and drop your midi patterns. This should help for you I hope.

Still having trouble Exporting Midi Patterns

MIDI EXPORT : Is this feature still in the works? I downloaded the 1.1 latest update but looks like the only thing I can still do is export Audio only? My goal is to record my drum patterns in Maschine and then export them to Live as Midi not WAV. Is this possible? Also I look for the addendum to the manual and cant locate it, does someone have a link to this information?

 

1.1 can only export Audio.

in Ableton you can send MIDI from one MIDI track to another.

I have tried bouncing midi from track to track in Abelton Live..but it wont pick up any midi data..only audio...please explain?
