I tried watching the tutorial videos, but they didn't really dive in deep enough for me. Admittedly, I only skimmed through the manual and didn't find it in there either. It's a basic sequencing question though. So I have my intro done, my chorus done, my verses done, and my outro done. Now I'd like to sequence it to go, intro-chorus-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-chorus-outro. is that not possible in maschine? would I have to dump it into another sequencer to do all of this. or is there a way to record my scene choices...because I was just going to duplicate the scenes until I finished the song but as the scenes filled up, I assumed that it wouldn't let me build past scene 16. Thanks for any help

You assumed wrong. IIRC you can go up to 64 scenes.

^^^^^^^ which by any standard is a lot of music time....

and if you run out of scenes and dont wish to transfer to DAW or external sequencer, why not try to arrange patterns inside patterns:;: i do this often just to keep my scene length down to approx 10/12....this way the entire track is always visible on screen at once... its just about lengthening patterns to suit

    good luck on it

Can you set it to change patterns within a single scene?

No, you can't. A scene combines one pattern from group A with one pattern from group B etc.

Thanks, I didn't think so. No real reason for it though I guess.

thanks for the help, so used to looking at the LCD, didn't even think to look at the amount of scenes I could make on the computer screen.

Even on the maschine controller once you fill up the area you see with the boxes showing scenes when you hold on "scene" if you hit button 6 on top you go to a new blank page of scenes you can put more on.

if anybody could help me with something else I'd appreciate it. I have a pad layered on different pads in pattern A1, Group D. Now, I want all the layers for the chorus, but for the verse I just want one of the layers. The logical thing in my head was to duplicate the pattern, so that I would now have A2, Group D, with all the instruments and the notes they were playing. Then I figured all I'd have to do is solo out the one layer I want for the verse, and A1 would go untouched. But now when A1 comes up in the chorus, my changes to A2 have affected A1. For the time being I just played in the sequence again, but is there another way for me to do this?
