I just messed with the beta inside Maschine.

For all the folks that complained about Maschine's lack of real-time pitch shift and time stretching for loops (especially in comparison to Ableton)...your prayers have been answered.

It's cool to see Serato leverage their DJ tech into audio production stuff. Something I wish NI would have jumped on. The only thing it's missing from Serato Sample is perhaps the looping options from Serato DJ.

I'm in ! Seems a good complement to maschine if you use samples.

Just gave this a test run in Ableton. Its ok but definitely there are better plugins out there . For instance, the slicer in Sugar Bytes Egoist is by far better imo and more flexible than this. I also like Twisted Tools Ultraloop better than this. Both have better GUI, FX , real-time stretch, pitch shifting and randomization options. Serato has a long way to go with this. the only good aspect of this plugin I see is mp3 support and the key detection/shifting. I'll be reporting my grievances on their beta forum. Don't see this replacing any of my other sample/slicing plugins at the moment.

I don't see any point in using this since most software Live/Maschine/etc have a sample players and slicers.. but then again this will probably be something you can use with Serato DJ and since i use it i like it! :)

EDIT. The time stretch is actually better than Maschine's, and you don't have to "Apply" it, maybe it has borrowed technology from Rane's Pitch and Time which is a 800USD time stretch plugin... It just became a bit more interesting now

    Great find
    If you love maschine

    Make a folder
    to export audio from Maschine
Drag loops and mangle into serato
Then find a empty pad set record on sync
About 4 to 8 bars a perfect loop of time stretch madness
    and it's audio
My CPU can have a lot of room now
    Thanks

Cute VST.....I finally got it to work in Cubase Pro 9 by uninstalling the plugin and only pasting the dll into the VST folder. I can drag & drop from the Media Bay into the plug but not from a track, interesting?!

Don't forget its a beta guys, i have a felling this won't be cheap especially if it uses Rane's super expensive time stretch algorithm.

I just downloaded this today. I love it. It is very basic but does what I need it to do. I particularly like the key detection. I was able to place 3x unrelated samples in the same key and they went together perfectly.

I also like the fact that I can map its parameters to the Qlinks on my MPC.

Yup. And the word on the street is that they will be listening to user feedback to make it better. I am using it to come up with ideas. It has this feature where is analyzes the sample and pick out random Q points (slices). I like this because there are some times where I overthink slicing a sample and hate the results.
