I just recently upgraded my macbook pro to a new one and am running OSX 10.6.2. I migrated all my settings from a previous Time Machine back up where everything was working fine.

I keep going into Service Center login to register a heap of software. It says it's all registered. But when i log out and try to use it it says i need to register these programs. I then go back into NI's Service Center login and it asks me to register them again. All the serial numbers are there next to the products. I click Activate again... and the sycle continues. It's as if it registers fine and then forgets that it's registered and resets itself. The weird thing is it only does this to about half of my program registrations. So half of them work and stay registered... the other half say they need to be registered.

    Can anyone help?

    sorry I couldn't be of help : (

I am having exactly the same problem on 10.5.8 and Kontakt 3.5.

I was able to at least use it in Demo mode for a while, but now that expired and I officially cannot use Kontakt on my machine.

The latest service center download fixed nothing.

    How annoying!

I'm having the same issue on a PC (XP SP3) with a Komplete 5 to 6 upgrade. All my old K5 programs show ok, but the new Absynth, Guitar Rig and Kontakt do not. It simply says All products are activated. Do we need to uninstall old versions of this software?

i took my macbook into the apple genius bar and the guy got traktor up and running for me. he had to go in and uninstall and delete all the old traktor/NI/service center files, they are not correctly removed using the uninstaller from NI, nor by just deleting the application. you need to clear all the files and folders.

he also did a system scan, i forget what its called, the mac auto-repair function..

This is how I got mine working in the end by installing an earlier version of Service Center...

    1) Start Safari and enter the following url: ftp.native-instruments.com.
    - if the link doesn't work try this: http://rcpt.yousendit.com/807187924/...4a32dd6f4d ee

    2) Open the folder Service_Center_2/Mac.

    3) Download the file ServiceCenter_220_OSX.zip.

    4) Delete the Service Center installation folder. This can be located under
Applications or under Applications/Native Instruments. If you have this twice,
    delete both.

    5) Now disconnect your network cable, so that your computer is not connected
to the internet. This is necessary, since otherwise Service Center 2.2.0 would
immediately update to the latest version again.

    6) Install Service Center 2.2.0 and start it. You will be presented with a few
options after a few seconds. Choose "Offline" on this page.

    7) On the following page press the "Create" button and then the "Create"
button again to save an "Activation request file" on your computer.

    8) Now close Service Center, reconnect the network cable, and double click the
"Activation request file" which you just saved on your computer. Follow the
instructions on the screen and download the "Activation return file".

    9) Again, remove the network cable and start Service Center another time in
offline mode. Press the "Open" button to import the "Activation return file".
This will complete the product activation.

    10) You can now close Service Center and reconnect the network cable.

This is where I run in to problems. (my computer IS offline btw)

At this step....it tells me all of my applications are activated, and I can go no further.

If I launch Kontakt, it tells me I must activate it.

When I launch the service, it center does not show Kontakt as an installed Plugin (but others show up)

I have deleted, updated, trashed SC preferences and everything.

A very nasty, frustrating loop and no answers.

    Weird... you could try this...

this issue might be caused by corrupt permissions of a specific preference
file. Therefore try the following first:

    1) Go to: root(the OS X volume upmost level)/Library/Preferences

    2) Locate the plist file of the respective program, e.g.
    com.native-instruments.Traktor Pro.plist

    3) Open the Finder info window of this file.

    4) In the Finder info window, change the permissions so that you are allowed
    to read and write.

I had to ring Ni to get mine working in the end cause I couldn't figure it out...

    Good luck!

NI - can you fix your Service Center please? This is the worst service I've ever experienced - with any product. Ignoring pleas for help through your ticket system and on your own forum is not spreading "positive" vibes.

+1 what objectman said. I've had an open ticket for a month, where Kontakt 3.5 crashes when I try to activate a library. The only response I got was, "Try it offline," then silence. And of course I tried it offline. It tells me "All products are registered."

I test software for a living, and I'm more than happy to help them debug their crash. But I won't be purchasing any NI products again until they become responsive to their customers.
