We are looking into this issue, but so far we are unable to replicate it on our test systems.

Everybody who experiences this problem, please post your computer configuration here. This could be very helpful for us to find the underlying issue.

    Regards, Thomas

    Thomas -

the bug does not affect every key. Here are some it does affect:

    C2
    F2
    F3

the velocity has to be high for the bug to occur

the bug happens when you load this preset in Kontakt 2 also. the samples affected seem to be the "Hard 2" group.

it is especially present if you play note F2 at 127 velocity.

however, if you preview this sample (Hd2019.wav) in Kontakt by hitting the "play" button in the Loop Editor the sample sounds fine with no distortion.

also - the distortion only occurs on the right channel and not the left.

hope this helps you guys find this bug because it sounds really nasty

let me know if there is anything else you might want to know that could help you figure this out

    Hi.

I just found this bug during a gig. My band and the audience almost became deaf!

    My computer setup is

Macbook Pro Santa Rosa (1.4GHz, 4gigs of ram, Ableton Live)

It's in the Authentic Phaser preset. The following notes give the distortion bug at full velocity (it sounds like some distorted open hihat) assuming C3 is middle C:

    E1, F1, A#1, C2, C#2, E2, F2, G#2, A#2, C3, D#3, E3, F3, G#3, A3, C4, D#4, E4, F4, F#4, G4, G#4, A4, A#4, C5, F5, C6

It's only in the right channel and the worst distortions come usually from C's and F's and some of the above only have slight distortion.

    I hope it gets fixed.

what's going on with this? this is a pretty serious bug - it can really cause damage to one's monitors/speakers or even worse one's ears.

you NI guys have known about this for almost 5 months now

    Brand new user here,

I have updated to EP 1.5, and seem to have the exact same issue affecting every single instrument within the library (no exaggeration - it seems each and every instrument has the same distorted sound). I've tried re-installing, but still no change.

EP Original however, still works fine.

    Computer specs are;

    Toshiba Satellite A200/H01 Notebook (Model# PSAF6A-02H01N)
    Windows Vista Home Premium
    Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 (1.8GHz) 800
    RAM 2048MB DDR2 (2x1024MB)
