Serious Z2 Malfunction - PLEASE HELP, NEED DIAGNOSIS

Hello NI, Z2 users at large - My story is this - I use one of the first Z2 mixers from NI, a prototype I bought it used from a dude who was one of the original software engineers of Traktor. Starting about a year ago, I would have issues where, while in the mix, suddenly a gain spike on the right channel would occur, and subsequently all knobs would cease to function - visually the crossfader is still responsive in the program but doesn't affect audio signals - Traktor has a kind of "seizure" where suddenly the left mid-EQ is maxed out, and the low-EQ of the left channel is chained to the gain of the right channel. These "seizures" are occurring more and more frequently and I have my first big paying NYE gig with a hotel soon - Can someone please advise / does anyone have experience with anything like this... Would be a holiday miracle...




Also, NI if you're listening, I'll buy a new Z2 from you for 50% Xmas sale, no questions asked - but I need it over here like now...

 

if you use mac and have updated the operating system (Catalina the latest update) your z2 will not work tell apple or native instruments figures it out if they are even trying... have you optimized your computer? updated the Drivers? do not use an alternitive audio card use the z2 audio card. when my friend would use a ni setup with wifi on or low cpu power he would got the audio pops and freezing

 

I have one you can buy but I'm nowhere near NYC and you wouldn't get it in time for your gig, hope everything works out.

 

I have the same problem in High Sierra. It happened to me at a gig. I was so frustrated!

 

Did anyone find a solution to this problem?
