For some time now service center has not been able to connect to the internet on my system. Even disabeling all firewalls doesn't help, and yes, I do have an internet connection! I have installed the latest NI service center which I downloaded from the site - any ideas?

I am really losing my rag with NI! First of all the useless service center can't find my internet connection when everything else can. And now I am trying to register Kore 2 manually via the service center in offline mode. It tells me to upload a file to the NI web site. So I go to NI web site, "support" > "register", and there is nowhere to upload this reg file, and no info on how to! This is bull shhhhhhh....!t :S

Did you read how to do offline registration in the setup guide?

Transfer the file to a machine with net access and double click on it. The web page for offline activation will appear...

Thanks for that EW. It didn't say anything about opening the file. It said to upload it on the NI web site. Rather misleading!

Any ideas how to get the service senter to connect to the internet?

I couldn't tell you. I just tried a little while ago because of all the posts of people having difficulty; it works fine here. I'm connected in under two seconds, and logged on and at the updates page in three seconds after that...

This is totally crap, and very frustrating. So other people are having this problem with the service center? Why then doesn't NI fix the problem? I'm not going to buy any more NI products until this is fixed, because it is an unnecessary pain in the butt to have to register in the offline mode!

I've uninstalled it, reinstalled it, updated it, and it still won't work.

I had Battery 3, but new customer to Komplete. I agree with everything you've said. My "Service Center" won't connect to the internet (while every other app has zero problems). I don't mind registering offline; but updates? This is inferior crap! How is it that Cakewalk, Izotope, and every other app gets it, but NI doesn't?

I am now in exactly the same situation. Service Center says it cannot find an internet connection, although every other application on my PC can access the internet with no problems. It's rather infuriating as I need to update Reaktor in order to use a new ensemble. I turned off my firewall and even re-downloaded and reinstalled Service Center, all to no avail. Any suggestions?

I fixed my problem in the end which I think was due to Iolo System Mechanic Pro - it had disabled some ports on my system. I found a little app called "winsockfix" which fixed the problem and reopend the ports.

Thanks very much for that info - guess what? I have just installed System Mechanic Pro, so I'll look into that fix you suggest.
    Cheers,
    Matt
