I recently launched my Service Center and it will not log in?
It always did this automatically, now for some reason after it initializes and scans my products when it gets to the login it stops and says "server connection has closed".
It has my username and password shown but doesn't get any further....
Also I tried logging in using my web browser to the NI Support web page and I can log in there just fine!
Any ideas what is going on?
    Help

About all I can think of is uninstalling and reinstalling the Service Center.
I'm moving this to the product installation and activation forum.

    Hi djmukilteo,

I have reviewed the email communication regarding your open ticket. I would say that the support person is correct by saying that this is not a login problem, but rather a Service Center connection problem. For example, some firewall tools do not allow an internet connection until you explicit tell it to allow this for a specific application, in this case Service Center. Normally a warning pops up when the connection is tried by SC, but in your case this warning might not come. Also, if you use a proxy or are behind a company firewall, the situation might be more difficult to resolve.

An easy workaround is to start in offline mode (if this is not working yet, you might need to remove the network cable when you launch SC), then export the activation request file from the file menu and double click it so that it opens in your browser, the follow the on screen instructions.

At the end you can download and import an activation return file in SC.

Btw. you can exclude a login problem when you can login with the same username and password in our protected update manager here:

    Best regards,
