    hi,
the Service Center tool ceased to work today when i tried to register Absynth 4 (didnt install the included SC from the A4 CD, since i already have it from several other NI products)

strangely it said that there is a newer version available (used it yesterday to re-install Intakt and it worked flawlessly), so i clicked "yes" to update that thing

now my SC tool seems to be messed up: it only works until the "checking for...." (or something like that, i´m using the german version) screen appears for a fraction of a second... then its gone... even the task manager doesnt show the SC anymore in the running thread list

downloaded the last SC from the NI website- to no avail: same result as before

now i´m sitting here and can´t use my new toy!

i really would not like to format my disc just to get this thing to work, so i hope there is another solution

my system is Windows XP SP2 btw.

I'm having a similar problem with the Service Center. I'm attempting to register Otto, yet every time I connect to the Service Center, I get a message saying that a data error has occured and that I need to quit the app and restart...frustrating!

    Hi,

please make sure that you have installed the latest version of Service Center. You can download the latest version here:

    https://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=freeupdates_us

There were some early installation discs of some Kontakt Player 2 libraries which installed a Service Center version where the auto update feature was disabled, so that you can not be sure that you have the latest version, even when your computer is online.

To make sure that all files are replaced, please delete the whole Service Center installation folder on your hard disk, before installing the latest version.

@Lossl: Is it possible that you run the Service Center in offline mode and export an activation request file? If possible, please send this to our Registration Support and give me the ticket number.

I am having a different problem with Service Center. Checking the box that says not to display updates already downloaded has no effect. This, coupled with the fact that the same things are listed under several headings, makes things very confusing. I hope this will be solved in the next SC update.
Also, a feature I'd like to see is the ability to filter out updates my PCs don't need, like ones where the only change is IntelMac compatibility. I know the icon next to each listing gives the description, but it's time-consuming clicking on each one, as well as easy to overlook. Perhaps updates whose only change is UB could be labeled as such (ex. "Pro-53 3.04 Win Update 2007" would become Pro-53 3.04 UB Win Update 2007").

I'd like to see only the most recent upgrades, or at least once you d/l the newest, the old ones no longer show up.. too much clutter

    Hi,

the update manager included in Service Center surely has room for optimizations. Especially if you have many products it becomes a bit cluttered. In such cases you might consider to use our online update manager until we have improved the one in Service Center. Here is the link to the online Update Manager:
