Set tempo without wasting Hotcue point?

Is it possible to set a track's tempo without using a hotcue point for the grid? I'd like to save my precious cue points for jumping work. Thanks

 

You can move the grid marker to slot 9 if you want.

 

Ha, good call. I didn't realize there were greater than 8, but a look through the manual proves me wrong. Is there a more convenient way to set a cuepoint to be 9 and up other than first setting 1-8?

 

in TP2 you have the option for the gridmarker to not appear as a cuepoint, thus not taking up a hotcue slot.

 

Map "Shift+9" to set cue point 9. It's what I do.

Sorry for my english. I want to use my hotcue to play like junggling mode. here's the problem. we all work with a lot of music so it's difficult to remember were's the good groovy bass. so i find that having the scroll menu for hotcue's that you can name is awsome. but it dose'nt work... when i beatgrid. everything change place:angry: so can you tell me where's the option in tp2 so that the gridmarker dose'nt appear as a cue point so it dose'nt change my order. Because everything get mixe-up and i loose hour of work.Wath i want is that when i look to the hotcue list in my scroll menu the NUMBER MATCH WITH THE HOTCUE THAT I PUSH, THE TITLE HAS TO BE THE SAME. ex number 1: intro bleep sound, number 2: couplet good base line,number 3 brake with accapela ect...i think you understand my question. please help i am loosing my mind and a lot of time... Otther question those anyone can tell me if i can map assign to a button the hotcue scroll menu so i dont have to use my mouse. i work with the s4 and i map a nanokontrol it dose make a great team and the fader work's great.

 

This is not correct. The option stops it automatically being assign to a hotcue but it will still most definitely be a cuepoint.

 

I took that as "hotcue" originally. But absolutely Count...you are correct.
