    Is this possible...

I have a couple of tunes which I think are great apart from a few sections within them. What I would like to do is set a marker so that it will jump say 32 beats when it hits this marker.

    Can TSP do this?

    Cheers

    Traktor can't do this automatically.

Check the feature request 'exclusion cuepoints'. Would be quite handy.

    Thanks I'll check this out.

Cant believe that something as simple as this isn't built-in though....

No worries. It does have a few logical quandries, like how interpret beat jumps etc, but I believe having an 'exclusion area' which Traktor essentially treats as not existing would be benificial

no automation here, but you can do it manually via a 32-beat-beatjump or by using cue points, but you have to trigger these by yourself.

Why do u want to jump sections of a track? If you really want to jump a section so often why not make your own re-edit? It seems to be the only way to distinguish yourself these days is to make re-edits/mash-ups/remixes of tracks yourself so that no-one else has them - I find it very hard these days to have a track that every other DJ doesn't have or can't find in 5 mins on g00gle.

This is what I have been doing but sometime I might have my mind on something else for a moment and then before I know the section that I would usually skip has already started.

I could edit the track within Ableton, but just thought that it would be a good addition to TSP to have this feature. Saves the need for another application just to accomplish what seems like a simple task.
