Setting up S4

    Hi Traktor fans,

    maybe you can help me? After having Traktor Pro software for a year i got the new S4 Mk2 (delivered the other day) but there was no disc in the package. Anyway, plugged in and registered online no problem and it seems to be working although i am seeing a few too many drop-outs. Is this because i didn't use set up wizard? Should i go back and reconfigure?

    Drop out's are normally caused by the audio latency being set too low. Have a look in Traktors preferences, audio setup. Adjust the latency up a little bit and see if it stops dropping out. Keep testing until you get no dropouts.

    The setup wizard might default it to a nice average, so it probably wouldn't hurt.

    Yep, seems better - i ran through DJ Endo's Preferences walkthru too and that really helps to get aquainted. All of a sudden it aint so scary! My quad core wasn't checked either, i guess that helps. Many thanks!
