Setting up Traktor S4 + X1 - with X1 used for fx3 + fx4

Hi guys,

I've been looking around to see if I can find someone with a similar set-up idea that I have but its' been hard to find.

I have a Kontrol S4 MKII and a Kontrol X1 MK1.

I was hoping to use the X1 to control fx3 and fx4 and deck C & D. I was wondering if anyone has any mappings for the s4 so that I have use the four sampling play buttons (on top of the 4 cue buttons) as toggles to turn on fx1,2,3,and 4. And have a similar kind of set up in the x1 with mapping the loop in and loop out buttons as the toggles to turn on fx3 and fx4 for deck 3 and 4 respectively.

I'm hoping to have four fx that want to use simultaneously (I'm not looking to have one fx for one deck - as I have seen in other threads).

Have anyone thought of this before? or have any idea on how I could possibly set this up??

I no longer have an S4 but I had something similar when I did.

With a little mapping research you could replicate this quite easily. Nothing you are looking to do is so advanced that it wouldn't be achievable in one weekend of work.

All you need to do is go to the controller manager and change the assignment of the buttons/encoders you are looking to reassign.

 

All of this is possible with a little mapping work.

Also note that FX Units are assigned to decks, so the fact that you want the X1 to control FX Units 3 & 4 doesnt mean it has to only be for decks C & D - but you can certainly assign it that way.
