setting volume levels in Traktor Scratch Pro

hi guys

my set up is;
x2 cdj1000
djm 800 mixer
traktor scratch pro

the volume levels seem to be very low and looking at the LEDS on my mixer there only 1/3 of the way into the green

what is the best way of setting these?

What level is the Master Output at on Traktor.
Are you in External Mixer Mode or are you Internal Mixer mode and using Midi control.
Can you give more details. The DJM800 is super loud.

Yeah it is (my bad) Main Volume.
What soundcard are you using i assume its the Audio 8 DJ ?
Are you using timecode? Or are you using your cdjs as regular cd players?
Have you connected your soundcard correctly using the diagram?

 

where are the 'Gain' knobs set at for these channels on the DJM800?

i use audio 8 and used to have my djm 800 gains on full with LEDS only green 1/3 of the way up although last night worked more normally

i use timecode CD's on CDJ 1000's

are there any settings in prefs i need to alter?
