    Hi,

firstly im really new to Traktor so i dont know what im doing but please bare with me.

    This is what i have:
    Trakor Pro 1.2.4 (mac)
    2 x CDJ 900
    Behringer DDM4000

What i want to do with it is be able to use the CDJs as controllers in traktor so i can see a better waveform etc, then use the ddm4000 as per normal ie, not have the mixer inked to traktor or have any of the mixing done in traktor. i like the ddm4000 as is and what to use it that way.

loading in the cdjs is easy, done. i just can't configure the next bit. any help?

I think ive got some settings wrong or some wiring wrong cos its all coming through on one channel.

    any pointers?

    thanks

Make sure in your audio settings you have it set to external mixing rather than internal mixing, since that seems to be your main issue. Honestly, 1.2.4 or 1.2.7 won't make any difference on this issue.

    Hi,

thanks for your replies. okay i have traktor set to external mixing rather than internal mixing. im getting both decks coming through one channel on the mixer even though the RCA cables are in different inputs on the mixer.

I was trying to politely elicit a response from OP which signifies he's using a genuine copy of TP. Actually, since OP ignored my suggestion, this makes it more likely in my mind that he does not use a genuine copy. What's also suspicious is that he's "really new" to TP yet using 1.2.4. We all know 1.2.4 isn't distributed on media from NI but is the latest Mac version that's been cracked. And why would someone download 1.2.4 from the NI website given that newer versions were available there, too?

In any case, I would be more happy to help OP if it turns out my suspicion is unwarranted.

What is there to report? Someone might be using an older version of the software? The guy just asked for help. If you don't want to help him, fine, but I think it's a bit out of line to accuse him of things. If a stranger asks me to help him fix a flat tire, I don't go accusing him of stealing the car or demanding that he show me the papers for it. There are plenty of reasons people may not update their software. Piracy may be a problem but I don't think it's helpful for registered users to act like an unpaid detective squad.

^^^ then why the eff do these guys ALWAYS run 1.2.4? Not 1.2.2, not 1.2.3, not 1.2.5, not 1.1.2, no it's always the latest version that's available on torrents (that would be 1.2.4 on the Mac platform).

I didn't got suspicious until he ignored my (innocuous!) request to update to the latest version. Whatever ya telling me, I betcha this guy's a pirate. In fact, I'll promise to transfer $5 to your Paypal account if this guy shows up as a NI Product owner (OP, you can register by sending a PM to Thomas@NI) within the next 5 days.

And, no, I'm not acting as a private detective here. But I earn a living from my rights as an author, so I am sensitive when it comes to the violation of copyright indeed. Pirates steal my kids' college education!

EDIT: why don't we spice this up a little. OP, I'd be happy to transfer you $5 as well if you manage to register your Traktor product within the next 5 days with Thomas@NI (I obv require that your purchase date be prior to 11/26/10, the date you made this thread).

You'll need a Traktor Scratch certified soundcard. And a version of Traktor Scratch Pro. Either way, cracked copy or not, all the information is out there in the public domain.

But OP is obviously too stupid or lazy to find it. Why else would he make this thread?

Well, what if this is your car? Should I tell him the fastest way to the interstate too?

As you can see in the number of my postings - I ALWAYS support legal users with their issues with the best advice I can give. I'm not a human Traktor Bible, but some things helped so far...

And now, we can go back to the problem!

Are you saying this guy stole your copy of Traktor off your computer? Pretty smooth detective work if you caught him.
