sfx Gold 1&2 & Hit Gold problems

i`ve just installed a new hd on my windows laptop and when i re - installed traktor i downloaded Factory sounds in it are some files i havent seen before called sfx gold 1&2 and hit gold when i try to move or open them they basically **** the system up because they have no properties and are not discoverable and i cant stop the command in task manager either, does anyone know what i can do about them or is having or had the same problems?

 

yep i had the same problem, reboot, delete files and redownload.

 

this is the problem, it wont let me delete it?

 

Make sure no traktor service is running, and delete. U can go into safe mode and guarantee you can delete it since it only loads basic drivers.

 

nope sorry tryed that it will not delete in safe mode

I had the very same problem with these files... cpu to 100% and unable to delete.
I had to boot from a bootdisk (ghost in my case) and delete them from a command prompt. When i tried to re-download them i met the same issues and have since given up on them.

I had the same issue and have yet to be able to remove them. I cant be bothered to remove via a boot disk and command line, and they didn't delete in safe mode. So I've just stuck them to the side of the desktop for now (unfortunately that's where they got downloaded to because I didn't check the download path). I re-downloaded the package into a folder, and they Gold files work fine in T2SP. The issues these files are giving us is rather concerning though - does anyone have any info on why they do this and if NI has given any comment on the issue? so far searches on here and google have only turned up this thread.

 

yep this sounds exactly the same as my problem, i emailed NI but have had no reply yet! the thing is i just want to get rid of them because they crash the hell out of my cpu and subsiquently my laptop gets really hot! i cant believe there are few people with this problem?

 

Same problem here. Just happened to me last night. Deleting in safe Mode does not work. Cannot copy, cut, or even move them. I even tried to create a zip file and have the program delete them after compressing but not even.

 

I was able to delete all but SFX 2 by running chkdsk. I think I was in safe mode at some point, too. But SFX 2 is still hanging out on my desktop being a nuisance. -_-

i managed to move sfx gold1 and hit gold to the bin but and delete them after a safe mode scandisk but sfx gold 2 got stuck in the bin and just f***ed everything up when i touched it, so in the end i had to re-boot windows
and so far i have yet to work out how to upload any saved track info e.g grid marks cues etc etc..... any help here would be great

had the same problem to, solved it by removing the files from a elevated (run as admin) command prompt. Tampering the files from the GUI will make explorer.exe crash.

 

any update on this?
