    Hi all,

I'm currently experimenting with Traktor (I have a DDJ-SX with Traktor Pro layout). In Serato when pressing [shift]+[adjusting tempo fader] I can adjust the fader to a position of my liking and adjust the tempo from that point, basically changing the neutral point of the fader. This is a brilliant feature for changing between two songs with very different BPMs while maintaining the accuracy of a small percentage fader setting. I was hoping if anyone could tell me if this is also possible in Traktor Pro by changing something in the settings?

    Best,
    Psybill

On an S4, this is done by setting the Fader into Relative Mode and the default mapping already allows for moving the hardware fader while holding SHIFT without moving the software fader.

So this is more of a mapping issue and one you could possibly correct by remapping the SHIFT and Tempo adjustment. I tried to get this to work with my F1 to give you an example, but haven't been able to get it to work as expected.

    • I have the F1 SHIFT mapped to set M1=1.
    • I have the F1 Fader 1 mapped to Tempo Adjust with condition M1=0.

So in the above, when SHIFT is not held, M1=0 and thus the tempo moves with the F1 Fader. When holding SHIFT, the modifier M1=1 is set, so moving the Tempo Fader has no change on the software fader. So this ALMOST works...

But what I expect in Relative mode is that when the fader is moved with SHIFT, then the first movement after releasing SHIFT (thus M1=0) should continue to move the Tempo - but it doesn't! It just seems to operate in an Absolute/Direct mode whatever is selected. This may be a side effect of the F1 Default mapping, so further digging would be needed to work this out.

Good luck - and maybe someone here can finish what I started?
