Should Arturia plugins be in Factory or User library?

I can only get the new Arturia Collection 4 plugins to appear in User library, without icons. Just a generic grey icon. Should it be like this, or should the Mini, Oberheim, Solina, etc appear just as NI plugins in the Factory library?

They should be in factory - the screenshot you showed should not be happening. It looks like you have tried to manually add them to the user locations. If everything is uptodate and in the right locations you should not see this.

I installed the plugins without changing any paths, and the vst's and au's are located in Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plugins/
The Arturia libraries is installed at Macintosh HD/Library/Arturia/

Any idea if these are the correct locations?

Yes, have you run the Arturia centre to ensure they are the latest versions? There should be a subfolder in each of their folders called Third party - can you see that? That's where the nks patches should be if you have the right versions.

All plugins are up to date, and all of them have the Third party folder, except Analog Lab. Can I add these patches manually in KK?

None of the Arturia libraries are listed in KK - Preferences - Library - Factory

You should see them in the browser just like the NI plugins.

You won't see Analog Lab as it's not NKS enabled (no point really as it's a wrapper for VSTs, like KK is)

    Have you re-scanned the plugins?

I have rescanned many times, but now I'm going to delete all Arturia related plugins, reinstall KK and try adding them one more time. I am not seeing the plugins as you show in the screenshot.

Could it be because I have my Kontakt libraries on an external hard drive, and not the default path?

No I do too, can't see how that would affect anything. Not sure what else to suggest.

Thanks for your feedback. I'm just done reinstalling Arturia and KK, and still the same problem. I even tried deleting Apple audio unit cache, and the preferences files from Komplete Kontrol. The libraries are still not available from Factory presets.

Waiting on support from NI - or last option is to format my mac and try a clean install from the very scratch... :(

not sure why you are taking about Audio Units.

Komplete Kontrol only uses VSTs, mot Audio Units.

I know it only loads VSTs, but as I had tried everything, it was a last effort hoping that this could be related. But it wasn't.

I will, as soon as my S88 is recognized at all - still fighting with that! ;-)

Are you guys with problems able to see the VST in the menu of KK (see pic)

If so but the NKS plugins are not shown in the Library browser, check that the relevant .nksf files exist (2nd pic)

The pluins are shown in the list, and the Third party folder is installed. However, the Arturia library folders does not appear in Factory library. I can only add them as user libraries.

I ended up formatting my drive and did a clean re-install of OSX, all Native Instruments and Arturia products. That worked. I noticed that after formatting, Arturia now did appear in Service Centre. I don't think they did after my first install. So this i probably why they didn't got recognized as Factory instruments.

Would be interesting to hear if anyone found a better solution, cause it was quite time consuming... :) But always good with a fresh start!

I presume you mean Aturias software centre, not NI service centre?

The Arturia plugins (like Jupiter, Mini, etc) did appear in NI Service Centre. Don't know why, but probably because I purchased from NI? Of course they are also visible in Arturia software centre as well.
