Should BANDSTAND load midi files at doubleclick?

Markus mentioned that the midi file opening had been broken with the UB update. So I tried a fallback to older versions of bandstand.

Version 1.01 is working as expected: double click on midi files opens and plays them!

Additionally, this version seems much more stable than 1.02. I did not manage to get it to hang, changing instruments and files during playback.

On my PC, version 1.02 is very unstable instead. I often have to restart it to make it work again.

So everybody who is not needing the changes of 1.02: Try 1.01 instead!


P.S.:
What do I miss if I do not use 1.02? :S

That's a clever thought Ruediger!

I guess I can go back to 1.01 by reinstalling from the DVD ... right?

I'll give that a try on the Mac and see if it works. Mind, if it is just a problem with a small maintenance upgrade, then there should be no problem for NI to provide a quick solution.

Or so you'd think.

I have the same problem. I've reported it to NI customer support, and am waiting for an answer.

 

You'll have a long wait. NI have obviously lost all interest in this product.
