Is that what everyone normally does?

The master volume beside the CPU.

Just curious if I should be sliding that to max for my projects.

    Thanks.

Generally my master is on 0-dB. I use a monitor controller to adjust the overall volume during monitoring.
If the volume is to low use Pad-Volume or Group Volume to adjust the levels. Additionally, use Compressors / Limiter for more volume.

    edit:
the final mix should be arround -6 dB

    Thank you.

How do I set it to 0db?

I cant see any number. Just a tiny white triangle I can move back and forth.

Or is there a plugin that will tell me that?

Double click on the little triangle and it will reset to it's default value (which is 0 dB). You can also change it in the mixer (the volume slider is the same as the master channel level fader)
