Should I switch Maschine Studio for Maschine Mk3?

Ok so I've hit a crisis of desk space and I'm thinking a Mk3 will help, but I don't want to lose the stuido features.

I've studied google for the many threads on this, when Mk3 first came out but I'm wondering now what the feel is, and I'm guessing there are more people who have made the switch and can give an updated opinion.

I fear I'll miss the volume knobs and the jog wheel. On the other hand I fear I'll be left behind with the discontinued Studio as it seems all tutorials now are based on how things work on the Mk3. It's hard to find Studio specific tutorials.

From what I have gathered from what I've read on various searches:

    PRO Mk3
    - ribbon strip
    - more intuitive button arrangements
    - smaller/ more portable
    - only needs USB power
    - more future proof as software/tutorials etc now all based on this new format
    - bigger pads

    PRO STUDIO:
    - JOG WHEEL
    - volume control
    - easier/faster workflow due to more buttons and spacing
    - more sensitive pads (?)

I want to switch to Mk3 due to space but I feel I'll be missing out on the Studio's benefits and might be better off swapping my keyboard for a smaller one instead.

I appreciate ultimately it's my decision and all about opinions, so no-one can suggest what I should do, but any thoughts would be much appreciated. eg/ anyoen who's done the switch and regrets or prefers it? etc

I ended up having the both Studio and MK3. Studio at home, MK3 when on move.... That is my "compromise". It would be hard to "downgrade" from Studio to MK3, for me.....

I would love if NI or someone else made extension unit for MK3 to expand it to Studio like capabilities. Jog Wheel, dedicated buttons and voume control.... And possibly 3rd display.....

Ah ok, there's a really helpful youtube vid by a gy I saw who says he has studio for the studio and mk3 for moving around.

I'd only keep one though in my studio. I don't know though I *may* install some of the NI komplete onto my laptop and then can play with it when on holiday or something I guess or at the in-laws. So I guess while I'm not a pro there is always that option of working away from my studio. Who knows, perhaps I'll be more creative on the move and it's a good option to have...

But in terms of use, why is it that Mk3 is a downgrade? I've read the argument that it's more future proof

I am used to Jog Wheel and dedicated buttons...

People say, that MK3s 3D knob works for them equaly. I prefere Jog Wheel as it is on right side and I am right handed.

But OK. If I had to choose only one, I would také MK3. I may have the both, so no compromises. Studio at home and MK3 on move. I would love to have M+ on move, but the price is too high... Waiting for secondhand M+ or even better seconhand M+ MK2.

I hope M+ will be success and stronger MK2 will come.

    This would be great:

Have both Studio and MK3. I'm lefty so I prefer that jogwheel/4-way on the left (that MK3 has)... though, the jogwheel and its 6 pages (Studio) are insanely useful (not just for Maschine standalone but for use with other DAWs)... I tend to prefer the MK3... bus-power (no power supply needed)... headphones, line-in, etc... dedicated Pad Mode / Keyboard / Chords buttons... I don't mind the shift+pad combos for undo and whatnot.. you can't go wrong with either controller, but the MK3 is really nice.
