Should I unregister THE FINGER before activating KOMPLETE 7

I just receive the KOMPLETE 7 upgrade from KONTAKT 4. I have also previously purchased THE FINGER but KOMPLETE 7 also includes it. I am considering unregistering THE FINGER for resale but I have both the KORE and the R2 version. Is the version in KOMPLETE 7 also available for KORE or just REAKTOR. Is there any benefits with the KORE version?

I haven't activated my KOMPLETE 7 yet. Will activating it with THE FINGER still in my account cause problems unregistering THE FINGER later?

 

You can't resell The Finger. From the EULA in the license agreement subfolder;

But are there any differences with THE FINGER, THE FINGER R2 and the version that comes with KOMPLETE? Is the KORE version still available in KOMPLETE?

 

Saying that there are no refunds does not imply that you cannot resell the product.

This page, particularly section 11, seems to imply that you can resell a stand-alone product if you do so in its entirety.

For a definitive answer, I suggest you contact Native Instruments directly.

 

I don't think there is any ambiguity in this part, is there? Seems pretty clear to me you can't resell them.

While it sounds like you can not, I would contact NI for verification. It says "Kore Soundpacks", but also others) and other "audio content products"...

I recently upgraded to Komplete 7 so I have no need for Guitar Rig Session which was a download.

I was told yesterday by NI USA that I could re-sell it by transferring the installer and registration number to the buyer and deactivating the license.

But I have to say that I have called NI and have been given false information in the past and then sold the sofware on Ebay, so it is very important that you get the name of the person you spoke with, and make sure there is no misunderstanding. NI USA will even send you an email confirming your re-sale and explain the procedures to make sure there is a smooth transaction with the new buyer.

I think it is great that NI does this for no charge, and to me...it gives the software added value knowing I can re-sell it.

 

Sessions is considered an app; not a soundpack. The original Finger's definitely a soundpack.

I also complained at NI that I already have bought "The Finger" and some more "Soundpacks", but I anyway updated then to Komplete 7.

I think you can sell your obsolete double licences, as I got this response from the NI Support where they advised me to sell my licenses I don't need anymore because I have them now twice. This is the response (in German):

Leider können wir keine individualisierten Discounts für User bereitstellen, die
bereits einige Elemente besitzen, die aktuell zum Umfang von "Komplete 7" addiert
wurden. Die logistische Abwicklung solcher Update-Pfade wäre nahezu unlösbar. Um
