And a toggle for the Arranger to auto minimise laterally to show whole of track as default.

    Please NI.

This is a major work flow issue.

    And also - display related.

Everytime you open up a VST it opens up centralised in the screen rather than at random locations.

    More mouse work saved.

+1. Well here's hoping the higher-ups start to address these requests.

These feature requests are even more important now that we have the Maschine+ with no mouse and monitor to overcome these hardware shortfalls.

There's a couple of YouTube preview vids up that suggest that the Arranger - the GUI is getting an update. So maybe this would be a good time to bundle in these other changes. In summary:

    1) Patterns open up with a default horizontally minimised view, for all different pattern lengths.

    2) The same on Keyboard Mode with the pattern also centralised vertically.

    3) VSTs all to open up default centralised on the screen.

    4) In Arranger view - a Cursor track mode which changes the pattern to the one the cursor is now on.

I think there is a substantial workflow improvement / far less mouse time in sorting these few small display issues.

    Just to make clear.

I was talking about laptop display.

Maybe you mean the hardware screens on the MK3 onwards have the same issue ?

In which case it needs sorting on both types of screen.

Everyone with a model before the Maschine + is still laptop connected and probably still use the laptop screen as well.

(For sample heavy track writing the dream of "hardware only" is a possibility but the stuff I do is VST heavy so I still need a full laptop sized screen for adjusting VSTs.

And it should be an "everyone" platform).

Just tried the new Clips option in the update.

Its ok but the implementation is slightly off.

When in the Arranger View, top window - click to convert all Loops to Clips.

This now changes the view in the lower window to one which can show your whole track in Clips and MIDI notes. Pretty useful.

    However its a destructive / non-return option.

    a) You cant convert Clips back to Loops.

    b) You can only put Clips in as the final step in your track writing, if you want to keep your Loops.

    c) You cant toggle back to the original view in the lower window whilst in the Arranger. (Now have to switch to ideas mode).

    d) The enhanced view in the lower window disappears if you go to Undo in the main menu (Where you can non-return, covert back to loops)

A non destructive toggle mode for the new bottom window view without destructive "conversion" to Clips, which look a lot like Loops in the first place (+ placement option) is a must really.

What does all you mentioned have to do with the topic of this suggestion thread?

It somewhat solves the "better overview of MIDI patterns in the lower window" issue (via an unrelated change).
