Crikey my teeth would light up like a lighthouse in that room - very nice

 

You should see it with the lights in full on Rave Mode

 

The waveform colors will be added eventually. It's no evil conspiracy, it's just that it's using the same vector-based code to render them as Traktor DJ (iOS) which also only has one color for the time being.

The reason for this is that they are being rendered as polygons instead of pixel per pixel vertical lines (like in Traktor Pro) which is much faster but gives them less options in terms of crazy looks.

I'm sure they'll figure something out for future releases.

I love not having the laptop open, though it'd certainly be nice if we had a way of seeing which tracks were played already from the S4.

Strymon Timeline - I have dreams about owning a bunch of Strymon pedals especially the Timeline and Ola pedals.

Yeah, the Timeline is an amazing pedal, I love the delays in that thing. The other two are a TC HOF (not the mini) and an Xotic EP Booster. I use this set up with my acoustic guitar, and the EP booster is a nice volume boost for that.

 

Ah Xotic EP, of course, excellent boost pedal.

 

Just that tiny bit of tone makes a big difference, I was suprised how much I liked it.

Hey Damien Sirkis what table is that? Looks really clean! I have cdj 2000 too and im thinking get S8. Everything work well? i think it will be killer setup with 2000s

 

There is a checkmark in the S8 screens that show you who tracks are played. The checkmark is on the cover art of the tracks.

I wanted a super simplified setup with the S8. I sold my VCI-100, Audio 4 DJ, and Akai APC20 prior to getting the S8. Bought a Surface Pro 3 (i7) and stacked it on top of the S8. It all runs beautifully now!

Here's the setup that currently resides at the back of my home theater. It's on an On-Stage RS9050 stand with a laptop stand on an equipment shelf. I wish Traktor worked better with the tablet's touch screen but that's what the S8 is for!

 

Here's my mate's latest set up. An S8 with 2 XDJs.

 

Are you able to interface HID mode yet with the XDJ-1000s yet? Or how do you have them configured in your set up! I'm looking into doing a similiar setup!

 

No HID mode yet I'm afraid. I'm running them through live input mode so I can record and use the effects through traktor and the S8. I f***in love it. (HID would be ace though) Here's a moodier shot (cos why not)

 

I may just bite the bullet and get 2 XDJs (Can't justify 2000nxs), hopefully they get HID support down the road. Love how your set up looks!
