Show Off Your S8 Setup.

Only slight concern is is might be a little low - I have a 5x5 white kallax for my vinyl but when I look at the height of 2 cubes is s tad low?

 

the ones i have are the old expedit range and slighty thicker
but once you have the table top on there and your gear i am
more than comfortable im 5' 11" tall i did have some
LILLÅNGEN Leg frames
to make it higher but took them off
still got them and a spare
LINNMON Table top with the holes cut for the capita brackets

i just checked dropbox for all the pics i took when bulding it i was go post them on DJTT but couldnt (sad Face)
it is a really easy build tho. the worst part was getting it all home

 

Are you finding that the KALLAX/EXPEDIT kit doesn't actually need the legs to lift up for comfortable playing?

 

either/or really but now the legs are not on there its really easy slide across the carpet if i want to move it

 

Bluntjust, how do you like the Rokit 8's? I'm currently deciding between them and the Mackie MR8MK3's.

I listened to both of them at my local Guitar Center and feel the Mackie's produce a lot fuller sound at normal zero. I could turn the low frequency up on the Rokits and then they sounded fuller like the Mackies. Everyone says the Rokits are Bass heavier than the Mackies but I think the opposite.

 

Here is my set up. You can see 2 D2s and a Kontrol S8.

Then I go out from the S8 into the Urie 1620 mixer.

From the Urie I go into a Rane RPM 26z digital signal processor,

From there into a Thrive Maya Amp (powers 2 Community SLS 960s), and also into a Crown cts2000 (which power two custom built subs).

Got mine yesterday, replaced my old DDJ-SX (which I managed to sell). Also transferred some of my chroma caps on to the S8, looks pretty sweet. Really happy now

Since NI went self self self and stopped caring about her consumers is when the love died.

I have a new love. Rekordbox with ddjrz and RB dvs. So far in the past 5 months we have been getting along like a house party.

Hey guys. Just signed up to the forums, been lurking for a while though...

Got my S8 back in September, built this booth back in the spring
Running the S8 along with 2x CDJ1000MK2's & 2x Technic 1210's

1 Ikea 4x2 bookshelf & some lumber & steel piping from the Home Depot
