    Hey guys,
Just a simple question here...in this example of a linear crossfader the "x" is being clocked at the sample rate,i was wondering why is that? and what is the difference, problem of not clocking it?
I see this often in structures and i have no idea why it is necessary.

    Thanks.

Synchronizing the event X input to the sample clock optimizes the compilation process in some way, indeed.
As the Inputs "0" and "1" should be Audio in normal case, the impact of the additional Latch Module clocked by SR.C is insignificant.
If i remember right, the core compiler distinguishs between SR.clocked only structures and merged clocked/asynchronous structures. The latter apparently haves disadvantages.
Not shure if an asynchronous X signal would impact the CPU consumption when running the Ens.

Ok thanks for the answer,i'm pretty sure i have a few asynchronous structures here and there in my last instrument...i will do some test and see what happens.
