Thanks. Are you going to be looking into this now or in the very near future. My worry is that this will get sidelined.

In the near future. As we were already working on the firmware update for MK3 (with audio output mixing and increased sensitivity), we are looking to roll this change in as well. Touching the hardware service is a different thing, and will need to be changed and tested separately, even though the underlying algorithms are the same.

    Thanks

If you are pushing out firmware updates would you mind taking a look at this one? It's worth trying to reproduce it's not as open and shut as you might think.

Not going to say any more/go off topic on this thread.

    Thanks

My support ticket was updated with direct confirmation that this was software related, is fixable and isgoing to be so soon. It was also confimed that if they are mistaken and this is a hardware problem all units with it will be replaced. So that's good, I'm happy and I'm just waiting for the fix.

Great I’m happy this is able to be fixed. It was definitely frustrating as an avid finger drummer, the new pads have a lot of potential.

I just received an email from my service ticket that this issue has been fixed via firmware. I won’t be by my computer until late tonight to download the firmware. Has anyone here tried and tested it yet?

You sure? Has been or will be?
MK3 device updater doesn't show anything new

Han? The mk3 has its own specific firmware update tool, download the correct app, it wasn't been '1.0' not even on the release date, at first boot it asked for a firmware update when i first plugged it in.
Read carefully next time... "may be released" and "has been fixed via firmware" are totally different things, you got my hopes up and then crushed my dreams 10 seconds later... not cool, i cried. :(

Sorry, end of semester cramming has my brain turned to mush.

It was the updater that is 1.0.0, so no, no new firmware. They just responded to my weeks old ticket with it "may be" fixed in a firmware update.

It scares me that they wouldn't say it "will be" fixed.

Native Instruments will be the ones scared if we start mass legal proceedings against them. Products not fit for purpose.

New firmware is up, I think they fix it! You can now trigger polyphonically with proper velocity tracking.

Someone else will have to confirm, but it looks like the minimum touch threshold is lower too. It seems I can trigger with lighter touch now but there may be a placebo thing going on.

I feel NI dropped the ball a little as this issue should have never left the prototyping phase, but now it is a non-issue:thumbsup: Now I can recommend MK3 to other maschine users with zero caveats.

    Cheers to NI!

Don't know, follow your update path for your model maschine and find out.
