the editor is not at all hard to learn. a quick read of the manual or even one of the how to videos should solve your issue.. (if i had reason i would further help, feel free to buy me a copy.)

Yeah, you definitely don't need a video. With Reason, things should be super easy because all of the MIDI CCs are pre-assigned, and there is a "MIDI Implementation Chart" included in the Reason installation.

yea i seen it and its specified for specific products. i dont want to mess up the setting on maschine by messing around and not be able to get it back to its default... and if it was super easy i would not be asking for help from you guys lol

it is impossible to "mess up the default". Templates are loaded to control external gear, the native "Maschine Template" can't even be touched.

just duplicate the "default" or append "New" .

you know you really should open the Controller Editor application and have a go. it is actually quite intuitive. on the Assign page you clearly see the default assignments it is really easy to change them. one you have finished choose Save As.

    maschine reason 5 template setup

im going to have a look at it again today. the goal is to be able to control each reason instrument seperately, when im working with the redrum i have a maschine preset for the redrum, when im working with the combinator i have a preset for combinator and so on....

im working on the presets as we speak but for some reason! reason 5 will not let me use the groups for separate instruments what i mean is, "group A" is redrum "group B" is nnxt and so on.. the parameters are conflicting other wise. reason treats all the instruments as one, so you can not separately assign one parameter to two different instruments. any help would be appreciated
