    hello,

completely new to Maschine with the new Mikro v2 ...

so i load a sample .. slice it onto 4 pads ... when i switch to keyboard mode only the first slice is playable on the 16 pads .. fair enough i guess ..
then i delete all slices but the first, truncate the sample so only the audio of the first slice is left ... when i switch to keyboard mode now all the pads light up but only the first one plays all other pads don't produce any sound

so i start from scratch ... now i keep the 4 slices/pads and figured out that keyboard mode always applies to the last used/selected pads .. fair enough again ...

so what i really want to do is to make a pad bank with several variations of those 4 slices/pads .. they are rhodes chords, so ideally i want to be able to play each chord in a variety of pitches ... so i duplicate the pads to the rows above and edit the root note .. and now somehow everything gets messed up, once i duplicate one pad, the others are not assigned to the same slice anymore, pad 3 on the bottom row is now playing slice 2, pad 4 slice 1 and so on randomly across the board

i'm really confused .. and really lost :(

how would i go about doing this: slice a 4 chord progression keyboard loop onto 4 pads and then make a group out of it with different pitches of those chords ...

    Load the sample
    Press and hold duplicate
Tap the original pad and then the other destination pads
Press sampling>edit and trim each pad
Shift+Pad Mode to go into keyboard mode.

Or just slice it in the slicer, then drag it via the drag icon to a new group, this will put all the slices on their own slot (Pad)
    Definitely the fastest way ;)

weird .. now it works most of times as expected (using duplicate without truncate) .. not sure what the problem is, sometimes i still end up with a slice that when put into keyboard mode only the first pad plays

pretty weird, not sure if it's a bug, feature or just my ignorance

Is there a way to do this on Mikro MK2 since the 2.4 update on the HARDWARE CONTROLLER? I've tried to do this like the manual says and it doesn't work. I can only play the sounds I sliced from my break on individual pads in keyboard mode. I can however play them in pad mode if I do it in the software like Tooshka said ^^^^.

Do you set C-2 octave in keyb mode?
