Slicing on Maschine mk1

    So I've been using the Maschine for a while, clearly since I still own a mk1, heh, but I haven't really used it for splicing samples in a while. I just tried loading up a sample of a drum break to slice across the 16 pads, and Slice doesn't seem to be an option under Sampling anymore. I checked some youtube videos and it does look like there was an update at some point (I am fully updated, btw), but the videos are all on new Maschines, and I'm wondering if it's a dated hardware thing or not. None of it seems to translate. I don't see it anywhere in the software either. Any help?

    what you will find is you have loaded a file and maschine has auto created a LOOPER/audio player, sampling does not exist in this mode. you can confirm, this by looking top right screen on hardware and you will see AUDIO rather than sampler in the tab

    change the pad to a sampler and then slice etc appears as normal (to do this it is SHIFT+BROWSE as though you are opening a plugin), the software now treats the sampler and the new AUDIO engine as plugins - think of them that way makes it easier

    MASCHINE now auto opens a looper engine for auto time stretch when it detects a loop, useful but can baffle users too
