    Hi!
I realize that any new library from Komplete 13 loads too slow. Maybe I need some preferences to change, but intuitively I feel that there is different library space/sample management.

For example in Komplete 12 UCE we have very large libraries where one single NKI file shows that it has some 6 - 7 GB of samples. The same size shown for any Cremona Quartet NKI (not Multi Mic). When loaded Kontakt shows that Amati Viola uses 2.16 GB. Okay, it's a bit more than any other library, but let's show a gauge to know how it's loading!

The problem seen starting from Kontakt version 6.4 or maybe a bit earlier. Any library from K12 loads as expected, but if I load something from Cremona Quartet, Kontakt hangs for a minute. It doesn't show a loading gauge, just simply hangs with a title "Not responding". After a minute all is loaded and works as expected.

The same is for any other K13 library - loading gauge don't show, and isn't loading in background as it is on any K12 library.

I tried to Batch Resave all new libraries with newest Kontakt 6.6.0. I didn't try downgrade to prior 6.4 version to check how it's loading, you know, I don't want to destroy current setup. So please, give me some advice. The current loading issue is a bit annoying, because while it's loading I cannot do anything else in Cubase. And no - it's not Cubase fault - when I run Kontakt standalone, I have the same loading issue.

Windows or Mac? In case of Windows, make sure you add exceptions to your sample drive(s) or folders in Windows Defender/Windows Security.

I'm also noticing this on the Cremona libraries on PC. If you open Task Manager you can see the RAM usage getting higher showing the library is loading, but Kontakt is not showing the white progress bar, it appears to have crashed. But once the library loads, Kontakt returns to normal operation.

    Hi!
I set exceptions as EvilDragon told, but this solved not so much as expected. I recorded a video, please watch it and read description bellow.

Newest Kontakt v6.6..0.133 hangs up a bit while loading newest libraries from Komplete 13 Unlimited Collectors Edition, such as Amati Viola and it happens with any library from beautiful Cremona Quartet.

It seems that new feature - compatibility to VST3 - that comes with couple new versions (since 6.5?) does loading a bit different.

Interesting, that any other libraries are loading as usual - loading gauge is showed at very start after preload window hides.

Here in video you see that when window gets light (after clicking on empty space), I can play and the instance of Kontakt works as if it's not stopped ("not responding" in title).

The same happens in DAW - Cubase, but the difference is that I can't do anything else while Kontakt is loading these new libraries in this innovative way. Any other libraries (the same huge, but older) are loading as they was loading before implementing VST3.

I suppose it is because of recoding source for a compatibility to VST3.

And here is another video showing how old libraries are loading... Normally with loading indicator and not hanging up with GUI issues.

Interesting is that Noire piano is loading very good. Is it because it was created long before Cremona Quartet?

While waiting for a response I tried some steps.
This is a step by step video showing what I've done to sort all loading problems.
Shortly - Batch Resave didn't do it's job good enough, so I solved loading problem by resaving instruments manually - simple Save As and overwrite original.

Batch resave does exactly the same thing as save as and overwriting original, though.

Did you watch my videos? All original nki files was batch resaved in July 15. Then everything I solved in July 17. I can create video where I take original nki, test it for loading, batch resave, test again and you will see that there won't be differene, then Save As and test again. Should I do that or you can believe to existing evidence? :)
