    Hi
Im having trouble when recording a drum kit in Maschine.

After deleting the pattern to compose my own, the pads work fine, respond directly.

But when I press [record] and start beating a pattern, about every 4th or 5th hit there's a delay and the note is recorded off beat.

    Is this some latency problem?
    Any Clues?

Turn off quantize during record in your prefs, or make the grid size small or off completely. Some of your hits are getting dropped because you might tap a little bit behind the beat, or get pushed forward because you tap a little ahead of the beat.

    Thats great, thanks Zac
Funny thing, it started to go OK for some reason, then I realised that when I was trying to Quantise nothing was happening so I went to PREF. and saw it was on RECORD. Id changed it after watching Matt Ceretti's vid. He preferred to have it set that way. And Id forgot. I didnt know it directly affected my playing til now. God, theres always little hidden consequences, hey!
    Cheers
    Take it easy...
