smart playlists

(tried searching for smart playlist(s) and didn't get any results that simply requested...)

Smart Playlists like iTunes, that are dynamically updated when new songs are added to your collection.

e.g.
BPM > 120
Genre contains "House"
Release Date > 2008

Now iTunes is so bloated for all the video/iPhone etc stuff I'd really like to get rid of it. The features I use, aside from Smart Playlists that I'd love to see included directly in Traktor are "CD ripping" and a "find duplicates" function.

wys01 is a great guy and very knowledgeable. He knew the answers to my questions/concerns about the product before I'd finished typing them. I say we pool some money and get the guy a keg of fine ale.

 

I would get that beer for Traktor developers so they implement that stuff in Traktor and we don't have to use third party software to do obvious things, guess I'll never be "Extraordinaire"

 

Am I correct in that TSpotter's dynamic playlists are only dynamic in TSpotter, you'd have to keep running TSpotter to update the nml / Traktor?

 

Yes, to update the playlists you need to run trainspotter first, however, I've written a script which silently runs trainspotter to regenerate the playlists and then runs traktor.

If itunes (sux) and media monkey can do it, i dont see why traktor shouldn't be able to.

would be a really great feature.

shuffle would be nice also.
