Still haven't downloaded the beta, but it looks like 50% of the features I and others suggested, are already implemented. Maybe we can do a new list, with what remains, so it's easier for the developers to focus on these features.

I really want to use this new Smartlists feature, but I want to organise my existing playlists into some form of sub-folder structure so I don't have millions of playlists to scroll though. This is truly an awful task to try and do today with the current version of Traktor. Please tell me I'm doing this wrong and there is an easier way?

If there really isn't a better way, could you at least make multiple playlists selectable using CTRL + Shift so you can at least drag multiple playlists quickly?

What I do is I put a number in front of every playlist title, that way I can sort them and the ones that I use more stay on the top. For example:
    00 2020 August house
    01 2020 August commerce

etc.. Unfortunately in traktor you cant set sorting order of playlists, so you have to be creative. Also I use folders to help me organize

I would love to have IS IN/IS NOT IN Playlist <choose Playlist> as a filter

I'd like to have "Tracks that are in Set X AND in Set Y but not in Set Z"

    Hi,

in the release candidate i tried the smart playlist filter
File Availability - IS NOT - AVAILABLE

and the resulting smart playlist shows all the files that are in my library.
i analysed one of the tracks but it still remails in the playlist...

File Availability - IS - AVAILABLE
on the other hand just gives me the one track i loaded into deck A and the other one that i had loaded previously.

    Is this normal?

The “tracks that are in” condition is handled in iTunes with “Playlist IS” or “Playlist IS NOT”.

Great suggestions! Another big vote from me to have a smartlist based on attributes of the current master deck. A [dynamic] smartlist for tracks in my collection based on the BPM and Key of the master deck would be absolutely huge!

Keep up the great work guys!

yes, the dynamic smart playlist (advanced search) is a very handy tool, but the Traktor should suggest tracks not only based on bpm and key, but also other parameters that are in the tags, the second way is manual matching, using the matching function.
The combination of these two functions will be a powerful tool for planning mixes as well as performing.

Hi Sander @ NI - unsure as to whether this thread is still active for feedback on the smartlists, but if so..

I love the new functionality: Thanks!
Would it also be possible to filter on the Mood tag (as well) ? This is an 'official' ID3 tag (TMOO), see https://id3.org/id3v2.4.0-frames
Personally I use that tag a lot, and it would be awesome to be able to use that in smartlists.

    Thanks!

Not sure if its been discussed although didn't see it here, but what about a context menu option added when right clicking a track that opens and simply auto-fills the Smartlist creation menu based on that track's metadata? Then for example could uncheck characteristics that are too specific until a good track count is achieved.

It's just more of a shortcut as opposed to doing it manually, but overall love the Smartlist feature. Thanks!

^I think we did mention this.

Kind of like dynamic smart playlists. So, playlists with a "Seed" track, where the "seed" track is the track loaded into a Deck (Deck A, B, C or D).

The FIRST condition in the dynamic smart playlist would be "Current Track loaded in Deck A/B/C/D"...
