This is the ticket sent into NI through the service center.
Here is the ticket number: Ticket#2011111010007254
All 3 pieces of hardware from NI that I have purchased have been faulty!
    Frustrated, but patient and respectful.

    Hello NI Team!

Jordan Berlingeri here... agan... and I'm beginning to feel less confident in my purchases.

I purchased the Komplete Audio 6 device to provide an interface for my guitar and, at the time, my Mac Mini.

Included in the Komplete software bundle, you provided me with a sample version of Traktor Pro 2... which I loved!

Long story short, after the purchase of the Komplete Audio 6 device, I soon purchased a Traktor Kontrol S4, a Mac Book Pro, and have been eager to break into the DJing scene.

Currently, my SECOND Traktor S4 Kontrol is being shipped back to your tech team for testing, repair or replacement.

I have since found more time to use my Audio 6 device with my guitar, however, I appear to be having similar issues mentioned in the NI Forums here:

    http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?p=863652

In short, I get about 5 minutes in Logic Pro 8 until crackling occurs, quietly at first then progressively louder until that is all that is heard.

I have Cubase installed and I have the same issue in that program, as well as Garageband, but only when using the Audio 6.

Note: This occurs whether or not anything is plugged into the Audio 6 device, resulting in crackling not only during recording, but during playback as well.

At this point, all 3 pieces of hardware I've purchased through NI have had issues. My first Traktor S4 was taken back within 30 days by the retailer. As mentioned earlier, my second S4 is en route to your tech team offices. Now, I am having similar issues mentioned in the Audio 6 forums for my Komplete Audio 6 device.

    What gives?

While I appreciate the willingness your company exudes when addressing tech issues, for one individual to experience issues with 3 pieces of hardware, well, that is kind of absurd, don't you think?

I have invested thousands of dollars now, mostly on NI products, in hopes that I would have a functioning home recording studio. While your software remains to be unsurpassed, I am not as quick to give your hardware similar reviews.

I can conclude that I have taken all measures thus far when trying to resolve this issue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled ALL Native Instrument software, including Guitar Rig 4, Traktor Pro 2, all SE software versions, and all the Audio 6 drivers.

This is a very time consuming process, as you are well aware. Having gone through this process now 3 times for 3 faulty devices from your company, I cannot help but feel that some small amount of compensation is due me. I'll let that thought linger...

In closing, all I really want is either working equipment or my money back. I don't mind sending you my Audio 6 device, just as I have done with my Traktor S4, for testing, repair or replacement. An explanation might be nice as well, as to why one customer purchases 3 faulty hardware devices from the same company. Does that even happen?

At any rate, I have a grip of patience and will exercise respect and courtesy as we both attempt to find a resolution to the hardware issues I am having with the products I purchased from your company.

I would also like to know if the 1 year warranty begins anew when hardware devices are sent back for testing, repair, or replacement.

I hope that these issues are resolvable, as I truly do love the look, feel, and from the time I've been able to spend with working gear, I love the features and functions of your hardware products.

    Fingers Crossed,

    Jordan Berlingeri

    Crackle and Distortion

My story is very similar. I have had the Komplete Audio 6 for 5 months now. Works perfect when it comes to the Mic Pre's and recording abilities. Up until now I did not have proper Studio Near-field Monitors. Yesterday I bought some Yamaha Monitors and for the first night and first part of the next day I was in heaven. Such amazing sound.....that was until i could hear a slight crackle/distortion that just grew louder and louder. Thought maybe I had been sold bunk speakers. Tested the speakers with my friends interface and they worked perfect. I called the store i bought the KA6 from and they told me that they cant help me. Dont I still have some sort of warranty for this product? I felt like i had found the perfect interface and product until last night. Now I am angry/deceived/ and tired. Every time this crackling/distortion happens i have to restart my computer, even during recording/playback. This is un except-able Native Instruments. I believe/believed in your products and hope you can help me instead of being yet just another one of your unhappy customers that roam theses forums.
