    Holy Caps Lock Batman!

Have you used successfully used Traktor before? If you are using a laptop, may you have the power mode on power saving - this could cause the drop in performance?

No worries man - I've made that mistake myself. Took ages to work it out. I've actually got my icons lined up on the desktop in the order I execute them when I start Traktor. Power settings, then my Novation Nocturn app, then Traktor.

So the popping and crackling has to do with the power save settings? And is that in Vista? I have the same prob and was wondering since I have a custom setting since I didn't want my laptop to shut down every time I closed the lid to move it.

I get the same problem on my MacBook Pro. I can fix it by restarting, but that's a bit of a hassle considering I want this to work wherever I want, Whenever I want. My energy saver performance is set for higher performance. again, when I restart it works perfectly even if i'm running other programs, but I'd really like to find a way to have this work without the minute long restart.

Does anybody use XP? Thinking of setting up a dual boot if it would solve the issue but IMO this seems to happen most often when traktor's writing to the hard drive (ie analyzing tracks, scrolling through browser, recording ect)

here's what i do and what happens.
I have my computer in my tv room (plugged in)
I unplug my computer bring it to my stduio room plug it in and then plug in the Audio8 interface
    I load up Traktor
I load up any track and play only to hear it with extreme distortion.

any suggestions? I don't understand why this expensive program won't work with ease. a bit of a headache.

^^This has been discussed before in the Audio8 forums, you do need to reboot if you're going to put your Macbook to sleep between sessions.
