In Absynth, every sound is associated with a particular tuning. This is unreasonable. In every other synth I know about, hardware and software, it is standard for "tuning" to be a global parameter, independent of each patch.

Suppose I want to play one song in 31 ET, and the next in 12 ET (normal tuning). If the songs use the same sounds, I have to make two copies of each sound -- one in 31ET tuning, the other in 12ET.

It's clear to me why one would want them independent. It's not clear to me that there's *any* conceivable situation in which it would be preferable for them to be linked.
