    Hi all,
I have changed a couple of parameters in a synth and saved the snapshot and a new ensemble. When I start Reaktor 6 and more importantly when I save a song using the synth and my preset it always defaults to a different set of parameters (for example the decay setting is off). The drop down menu has the correct tab selected but not the correct settings. If I click on the tab it changes to my new settings so it appears that my new settings are loaded in the tab setting but they are not being implemented ? Help! This is driving me nuts as I cannot save my song with the correct synth settings.

    Please give us more informations:
Working with standalone in Reaktor 6 or VSTi?
    Are you using a daw?
    Which one?
Has the synth in R6 a name?
    What tap?
I use R5 / R6 mostly in standalone or in an old Cubase 7.

    Thanks for responding Paule.
I am using the excellent Moog Taurus synth https://www.native-instruments.com/en/reaktor-community/reaktor-user-library/entry/show/8574/ and I have tried running in standalone R6 v6.2.2 and via VST inside Presonus Studio One 3 DAW. The problem is the same in both.
To summarise, I load the Taurus synth and i use the drop down tab to select "4-Preset Bass". I adjust the the decay and the filter release and active the velocity button (Velo). I duplicate the ensemble and rename (Taurus New) and create a new bank (Taurus Bank). I save the snapshot to Taurus Bank and same the ensemble. I also created a new entry for the drop down tab and that appears on the drop down. All good - great sound. Works perfectly in Studio One 3. I save my song in SO3. When I reopen that song the Taurus defaults to the original sound setting even though the correct drop down tab is displayed. If I then click on the drop down tab the parameters change to my desired settings and the synth then sounds as I want it. I even tried converting the track to audio in SO3 and that does the same thing - the synth defaults to original. I therefore cannot get my song saved with my desired settings. I suspect that the problem is related to the drop down menu in the synth? Is this not saved within the snapshot? I hope that I have just missed something simple as I really want to use that Taurus sound. Thanks again for your help.

I just download the Taurus I and start in standalone. Create a new bank. Choice an INSTRUMENT snapshot and change some parameters save in the new bank. Do the same with a second snapshot. Save under 'Taurus -pa' and close R6. On a new start all changes are here. All fine!

Solution in your PSO3? The song load the wrong ens: Taurus instead of Taurus New?
Try: create 'Taurus New' in standalone and load in your daw. Save your song and re-open.

    Hi Paule,
I tried your suggestion on the standalone and in my DAW and then quite a few other options all with the same result - the parameters always default when restarting Reaktor or loading my song but clicking on the displayed tab changes the settings as wanted so it cannot be that the wrong ensemble is being loaded. I saved a preset too but that seems to do nothing either. I even uninstalled Reaktor 6 and reinstalled with the same result. I must be doing something wrong. Is there a step by step guide anywhere on how to save a snapshot and ensemble for Reaktor 6? It really should be a simple task with a save button like in Massive?

    James.

You can save a snapshot bank with your own settings and reload in your ensemble inside the song.
In Cubase daw is a small red disc symbol on change the setting of Reaktor vst. I click it saved to the existing R6 ensemble.
What cubased from R6 is saving I don't know.

If it helps create a new thread in Reaktor forum. This is 'General'. You can set a link to this thread.
Mayhaps there are users work with your daw?
